Hospital Stay???
I stayed two nights. The first night for me was NPO. It really is surgeon dependent. I've known other sleeve patients that have had it outpatient.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much...the life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully. -- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life
My Center usually keeps the patients hospitalized for 2 days. There can be patients they keep longer if necessary.

I just had the bypass last Thursday and was sent home the next morning. I was so ready to get the heck out of there. I got no sleep in the hospital. I usually really like hospitals which I know is weird but I wanted to go home so bad. Everything was totally fine going home that soon. You will do great. I wouldn't worry about only one night and then home.
thanks for all of your replies. Feel a little better about everything now. Nerves are at ease because they were scrambling all around for the past few days. ;-) how is everyone doing? What would be your best advice to give to someone pre-op before they start this journey? Anything you learned or wish you had known before surgery that you know now?
