Hospital Stay???

Hey everyone?  How is everyone doing?  Blessed and doing great I pray. Well my question is how long was your hospital stay with your procedures?  I supposed to be having gastric bypass surgery but they only put a one night hospital stay. I thought , well assumed that the gastric sleeve procedure is one night while the gastric bypass was two? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks; -)

My insurance only said one night but after surgery they made the decision to keep me two nights. 

Thanks Dove. I really appreciate your reply. I was so confused though when I called the insurance and they said one night. I was like "say what now" lol. 

It depends on your surgeon. I had gastric bypass and only stayed one night as do 75 percent of my doctors patients. I had little pain and no problems going home that soon.

My surgery is July 12th, and I am going to be discharged on July 14th, barring any complications, so I will be in the hospital for two nights.

I suppose to be July 11th. So hopefully we will be July buddies! Congrats! ;-)

Cool! Did you get an approval yet from your insurance?

edit: Sorry, just looked at your posts and saw that your surgeon's office just submitted all the paperwork. I hope your approval comes quickly! Mine only took 24 hours.

been holding my breath since Monday. They received all of my info on the 13th and said they have 15 days to review everything.  I have heard it normally doesn't take that long to process. I called yesterday and said it was still under review. Hopefully I will know something this week. For now it's just a dream until I hear it's approved.  ;-)

Mine is july 13th. I'm nervous!!
