Got approval letter in the mail

Just looked at my mail today, and I got my official approval letter. How exciting! 

Is it common for the letter to say: "This pre-approval does not guarantee payment"? Is this just a CYA thing on the insurance company's behalf?

Congrats on getting your approval letter!   You'll have your surgery date soon, how exciting!!  I don't know about the letter, I didn't use insurance.   Maybe someone else will chime in who did.  Good luck!

Thanks, Kelly. I actually found out I was approved a few days ago via phone. The letter just came today. It's nice having that actual letter, LOL.

I think it's standard language. IE- if you quit or are fired from your job that make you ineligible for coverage they don't have to pay.
