HA, HA. i WAS THINKING THE SAME THING! Thought she said it gave her crabs.  Just started the Meat and Egg diet. Is that ALL you can have-no veggies, peanuts, cheese? Just meat and eggs?

Congratulations!  I was wondering why crab wasn't meat for a sec, there...

But, then I had a light bulb moment  .   That makes total sense and totally agrees with my experience.  I somethings think, gee, my pouch isn't working, when I've eaten carbs, I feel like I could eat 'em all day long.  When I cut them out and go CAMAW, my pouch fills up pretty quickly and I feel truly full and satisfied.

PROTEIN IS THE ANSWER!

Well, that, and I'm learning the value of daily exercise, too.

I have noticed as well, that the more protein I can get in, the more I lose as well!  So it's good to see that I am not just "thinking" that was the case.  :) Great job!  Keep up the amazing work.

Personally I totally GET it that everyone wants to reach goal weight in record time and that high levels of protein keep you full and satiated BUT

I'm also very leery of the pesticide/chemical / antibiotic and bad FAT overload in this meat and dairy based highly acidic diet .

I've hung around this site and before this Overeater's anonymous for way too many years and have seen just too many cases of gallstones, kidney stones, cancer and kidney failure from ( I think) these high protein diets combined with rapid weight loss and very little detox.

At the very least PLEASE try to sweat out the toxins however you can ( sauna/hot tub/ gardening outside in the heat ( with sunscreen and a HAT) or the BEACH !!

Rock that weight loss GRRL in a sexy new swimsuit .. be proud of your beautiful curvy body while you still have it :)

I find five years plus post op that the restriction still works .. provided I don't drink with my meals or binge at buffets.  I always have eaten a semi -vegetarian very high carb but fresh and lowfat diet and my weight is quite stable and health (thank God) is excellent .  I was diagnosed with low iron levels though after plastic surgery which after treatment ... I noticed had caused a drop in energy .

I think the odds of getting ill from the chemicals and GMOs in plant foods are no different than meat and dairy.

Actually, many GMO crops require FEWER chemicals to be used. Crops like corn and soybeans have been engineered to produce a particular bacteria that repels insects, reducing the amount of pesticides used. Research shows that this naturally-occurring chemical is not toxic, even at very high doses.

But it is okay to drink alcohol and to worry about pesticides. Not to worry what that is doing to your body.
