Post op liquid diet help
I know every surgeon is different. Have you contacted the dietician in the doctor's office to make sure you heard correctly. I was told protein promotes healing and therefore am required to have 40 grams of protein per day and I get that by drinking Protein shakes. Yes I too am getting tired of drinking everything, but my surgeon is allowing me broth, protein, oatmeal and pudding in 2-4 TBS servings. Tomorrow is day 10 for me and I can have eggs.
I would double check with your surgeon's office just to make sure.
Did you get a notebook or anything of what to do and what to expect? My surgeon is VERY thorough. We got a notebook with Introduction, Preg, Surgery, Day 1-3 after surgery, Day 7, Day 10-17, Day 17-24 so on and so forth.
All the best to you.
This was also a lifesaver for me! It has flavor, and I loved it. It's amazing how something so simple can taste so good at certain times!
