Medicine preferences? No more alka seltzer cold...

So, I am fighting a cold right now and was going to run out and buy some Alka Seltzer cold and decided to google if I could take it. Low and behold, thats a big negative due to the NSAIDS in it...

What a bummer, thats my all time favorite cold medicine for daytime or nighttime...

What does everyone else find that works? I saw Theraflu is an option?

Whenever I get sick I get super achy in my neck and just feel miserable... I'm the biggest baby when not feeling well :P

I would try topically applying peppermint oil to your neck and maybe temples. Keep it away from your eyes though.

I take what ever I want...  the NSAIDS if an issue only if you take these on a regular basis. That being said you are new out from surgery so your best bet is to call your surgeon's office and follow their advice   I too am fighting a cold and just did Zicam and Vicks DayQuil

I know it varies but my doc gave me the OK to have NSAIDS, as long as I "don't go crazy".

You can go to the pharmacist and ask what cold meds don't contain NSAIDs - that's what my surgeon's office said to do if I get a cold.   Also I am a believer in Vicks on the chest!   I hope you feel better!
