Help please

I've now been in the hospital for 5 days not able to keep food or liquids down, constantly dry heaving. I'm miserable! The dr on site stretched me out some due to structure but that did not help at all. I'm being given anti nausea constantly and while it takes away the dry heaving I still am sick to my stomach and can't eat or drink.
Does anyone having any suggestions??? I miss my family and feel so alone in this ?

Oh Melanie, you poor thing! I'm so sorry you're having to go thru this. Please know that you're not alone - we're right here, so post away! I really wish I had some suggestions, but sadly, I don't. I'd say just do whatever you can to reduce your stress level. Talk the Dr. into getting a massage therapist in your room, and maybe get into a therapy whirlpool tub, or ask for a heating pad to put on your belly? Maybe even get somebody to wheel you outside for some sunshine? I think that anything that'll help you relax and reduce the stress of it all will be helpful while they figure things out. Ask them for whatever you think might help! Hang in there and lean on us!

Obviously you are in the best place to be right now -- but gosh, I am so sorry that you are going through this. Of course you feel alone and scared.
Many times when people have a stricture, it takes more than one "stretching" to solve the issue.
Also, if you aren't getting enough fluids (although I assume you are on IV liquids) -- nausea is worse. Be sure you are doing your best to get your fluids.
Have they given you an anti-emetic?
I swear that soon this will be only a blip on your radar screen -- but in the meantime, I sincerely hope you feel better.

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time. The doctors may need to really dilate more than one time to help ease the stricture. Do your best to try to drink at least because lacking on fluids will make you feel even more nauseated. Just sip a little at a time and try to relax and give your doctor some time to get this sorted out. A few months down the road when you are feeling good and losing weight this will be a little blip on your radar. And keep posting here too! Always someone here so you aren't alone at all. Hang in there!
I'm sorry this is happening to you but you are in the right place!
Dehydration is your worst enemy and maybe ice chips or SF Popsicles or sipping tea might help?
As others have said, it make take several tries to get rid of the stricture. Hang in there, this too shall pass and you'll be on your way to goal.
So sorry - this sounds terrible. Are you getting IV fluids?
Our prayers are with you.
Sharon
Sorry if this is gross, but I think if you are peeing and it is not a dark color, at least you are not dehydrated. Is your catheter out?
Hope you can get a nap in.

Never had a catheter, but yes my pee is clear of course I'm getting tons from my IV
So apparently I have to wait here until Tuesday to be checked again to see if it needs stretched again, Tuesday literally seems soooo far away :(
