Pocket scale for eating out

Personally, I would never take a scale into a restaurant and weight my food publicly .... Just not my thing.

In a restaurant, I keep in close contact with my bread or salad plate .... And when the main course comes, I cut it into 1/4's.

I serve 1/4 of the protein and 1/4 of the veg onto the smaller plate and leave the rest to be boxed up.

Sometimes, if I KNOW that I can't take it with me, because I am traveling, or it will be too hot in the car or whatever, I heavily salt and pepper it ... So I won't be tempted to eat any more than my portion.

Most entree portions of protein are 8 ounces, so I am getting 2 ounces this way, plus some veg ....

You can eat 1/4, then eat more as you can tolerate it, etc.

Or serve 1/4 onto the smaller plate, cut that into 2 ... And see what approximately 1 ounce looks like.

I could cut 1 ounce of steak into 10-12 tiny bites ..... And got bored eating, chewing, waiting by the time it was done.
