I think I'm going to buy a pocket scale. For $7 bucks I imagine it'd be a no brainer

I have two lunches a week that I'm supposed to dine out with the other project manager, and for the most part I've done well with my portions. A few times I've either felt awful from eating too much or actually gotten sick

Actually got sick today having a piece of grilled chicken that was too much (didnt even finish the single tender)

While in bathroom at work, I started to look them up.

I'm thinking of picking this one up, any people further down the road use one? I like that this one has a little clear cover that I can use as a tray to tare out, and easy to wa**** later, rather than putting the food directly on

1oz every meal, here I come! :P

I'm still in shock that you are eating grilled chicken already.  I had to wait until I was 8 weeks out before I could do that.  I'm not questioning your nutritionist's instructions, but it is just so much faster than I got to move on to really solid food.

I think the scale is a good idea for beginner's and I agree with the other poster about eating chicken this soon, I can't try that until at least week 8!   Maybe your pushing your sleeve  way to soon

I've had no issues with chicken when I have been measuring it :) My eye judgement game is definitely shoddy :P

My eye judgement is still off 10 months later, but I still try to figure it out when we are out of the house.  My husband is terrible at measuring without using the scale.  If he is dishing out food he always gives me too much.

The scale is a good idea, but I don't know if you want to measure that way in public.

Ya it'd be a little weird, but wouldn't take too long and it's better than getting sick :(

It was Bruindiva92 that mentioned hers in a post a few days ago.  She said she uses this one. You can contact her for more info.

Chris,

I keep a scale in my purse because at a year + out, I have poor judgment at guessing weight. The scale has a plastic cover I use to put the food in.

I also carry a 2 ounce cup for measuring liquids.

I whip out my scale everywhere. Takes less than a minute.

You must must must make healing a priority right now brother. It will take your insides twice as long as your outsides Chris. If you are eating meat right now, at the least it should be pureed.

It might be strange to do it in public, but it is too important to ignore for appearance at work. Please be aware that other newly PO's could see this and think it's acceptable for them too. It will do more damage than good right now to push your healing.

Your body is trying to tell you that something is amiss. Listen to your body, and ..to me too. It has been under a tremendous amount of stress over the last several years, and now it has to accept it's new normal.
