Bless her heart.. surely it is not her fault... I gave her too much credit... I thought she knew better than than to repeat stupid things she heard... I promise I will not do that again, OK? .... are we good?

Once I was cleared to try eggs, they were very problematic for me for about the first 6 to 8 months after surgery no matter how they were cooked.  They sat heavy and gave me that "stuck" feeling.  Once I was able to tolerate them, they have been a main staple in my diet.  I love to make the egg muffins.  They freeze well, and you just grab them out and go.

I love deviled eggs!   I have tolerated eggs cooked any way from the beginning, no problem whatsoever.

I have brought a hard boiled egg to work for breakfast a few times.  It fills me up and it's protein.  Plus from what I have been reading lately the tide has been turning on eggs and how the medical community feels about them.  They say it's alright to eat eggs now...within reason.  I mean you shouldn't go eating a ton of eggs.  Moderation is the key.

A softly scrambled egg was the first thing I ate after being cleared for soft foods.  After 4 weeks of liquids (2 pre and 2 post surgery), it was the most delicious thing I have ever put in my mouth.  I love eggs and eat them all the time.  I have never had any problem with them.  Once I was cleared for them,  chicken and beef were killers for me for about 9 months or more.  I can eat both just fine now, but it took a long time for me to tolerate either.  A filet was the first beef I could keep down, and by a year out, all cuts were fine.  Chicken still has to be super moist for me to eat.

Well a filet is a mighty fine cut to finally get to keep down... yum!

We have a cow... her name is filet... in about a year, she will become just that (and of course, lots of other things hahaha). I really hope that I'm all good with beef by then, because I will have to cry if I'm not ;)

That's hilarious. My husband raised a pig for slaughter. Piggy's name was Porkchop.
