Excited and Nervous

I have finally completed my 6 months of supervised weight loss ...so tomorrow I have a appointment for doctor to sign clearance form and fax it off to surgeon's office so they can submit paperwork to insurance company.....I am hoping and praying that I get approved.....wish me luck!!!!!

Best of luck to you!  My approval came in within a week of finishing all the steps I needed.  It was awesome to get that call, so I hope yours come in quickly.

Good luck! Mine took 3 weeks to hear back and I got 3 denials and then an approval. I'm hoping yours is quick and approved first , just do not think the answer is no if they say no . Sometimes they sometimes they are just missing one piece of information or need something worded differently .

It took me over 2 months to get the insurance approval but I was having a rough time at work so I didn't press it.  I then ended up losing my job so I called the insurance company myself to see what was taking so long. They told me they didn't know why it was sitting in pending status and that they would escalate it. Two days later I got the call to schedule my surgery because insurance approved me.  Part of the problem was that they kept asking for different stuff from my doctor. Just be patient but if it takes to long don't be afraid to make a phone call.

Don't be afraid to check in with the insurance company. My insurance company was really nice and told me I could call everyday if I wanted to.
