Breaking out/stowing servings
not sure if this has been asked, but has anyone tried taking say a can of Refried beans and splitting into a bunch of say baby food jars, then canning?
I imagine this can of beans would go bad prior to finishing, so wondering what kind of "hacks" people have out there?

How about freezing the individual servings instead? Not sure how long they'd last though.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

You're overthinking it. A can of beans just won't last long enough to go to the trouble of canning individual portions.
Splitting something as big as a whole ham into portions and freezing is one thing. But a can of veggies just won't go that far.

Eh I cant stand to waste. Id either do the ice cube trick (freeze it in an ice tray and pop cubes in ziploc bags to go back in freeZer) or use tiny 2 or 4 oz tupperware and keep it in the fridge until it is eaten or expires (research how long whatever food it is will keep in fridge) whichever comes first. Also id buy the tiny cans if they have them, not regular size. :) I know they have them for peas and green beans and the like. Not sure about refried beans though.
Anyhoo, this is what I plan to do and already bought ice trays and tiny tupperware! :)

I have these really cute 6oz Glad Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle containers. I use them for splitting up all kinds of things. I suppose I could freez them, but honestly, if you are eating 1/4C (2oz), then that 10oz can of beans is only 5 servings... and that's if you don't feed any to the family.
Don't try to re-can food that's already been canned... that sounds like a recipe for food poisoning. Freeze it if you're determined.
But remember, it's not that long until you're eating much like your family.
Last night I made fresh grilled fish and roasted cauliflower (and found out that I'm not ready for roasted cauliflower just yet). I made 3 - 2oz containers of fish for me, and a baggie with a 6oz filet in it for someone in my house to eat for leftovers.

haha awesome, I like your style. I looked up child plates to find something fun (and smaller) and thought about TMNT. Didnt find much good stuff on Amazon, so I think Walmart will be a field trip soon!

I found these stoneware plates and tiny bowls at Target... they are 'grown up' too... of course, I have my TMNT containers, princess fork and spoon and a cute princess divided plate too.
Just depends how I feel as to what I use. But those bowls I got from Target have been Great! I get soup from the chinese store, and I put 4 ounces of liquid in one and it's almost full...
