My mind is officially at rest!
My insurance's coverage year runs from July 1 - June 30, and I was worried there might be changes in the plan after June 30 (which is when I most likely will get my surgery). Highmark's website only shows my current summary of benefits and not the one beginning on July 1, 2016. I was able to do a search, and I found the new SOB. Bariatric surgery is a covered benefit through June 30, 2017. Woohoo! I know I have been bothering you guys with my insurance worries, but I am just so ready to get this ball rolling. I don't want anything to get in the way of me and this surgery. The only thing that sucks is that we have met our deductible for the year, so if I could get my surgery before June 30th, I won't have to pay anything, but it looks like I'll get stuck paying $500 in July. Other than that, everything from the hospital stay to the surgery to the surgeon's fees are covered 100%!
GET ME ON THAT TABLE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
