Don't ever let any Bitter Betty's tell you otherwise ...

As a FB friend, you know how I have been able to keep up with my severely ASD son (now 12) and enjoy my gorgeous grandson (the cutie in my avatar), both of which I would have struggled with 12 years and 100lbs ago!

This isn't all about how sexy we are in a bikini (although I still wear one at 53!!!!) or how we are able to attract men/women now.  Those are superficial side effects.  It's about how healthy we are and how we are able to live full and LOVING lives.

Little Dude is awesome and so are you!

Incredibly beautiful anecdote, and a must read for those of us who are being pushed into despair by constant shaming. What drives one to to become fit (yes, I wish to have the superficial advantage too) is that I can enjoy my small amount of time (in the cosmic scale) with happiness and be kind and contribute (even the smallest possible input) towards a better life for others.

How awesome for you two!  I totally agree:  doing it for our kids and what we get to do with them is the best NSV of all.
