Waiting on my ins now :)

So everything is done, waiting on ins to approve me so I can get my pre-op visit scheduled and start my two week Bariatric Advantage diet. I really hope I like the taste... lol. They only gave me three options and they are cheaper at the surgeons office, rather than online. So if I indeed found something cheaper I would ask about it, but they say it is just easier to give a list and we choose from it. I guess. Anyway, Bariatric Advantage, Optifast, and Powdered Physicians Protein are the choices and I'm just going with the cheapest.

Hoping for June 20th as my surgery date!!!

Welcome! Hopefully your insurance will approve you quickly. That seemed to be the worst part for me. I found myself continually frustrated with my Doc office and my insurance.

Once I was approved, things moved so quickly!

I don't know what flavor you got of the Bariatric Advantage, but whatever it is, I can probably guarantee you you will want a new flavor after surgery LOL

Omg I'm already approved after only a week! She just submitted it Friday and I got the call today, wow!

I absolutely HATED Bariatric Advantage shakes. I used them for my 2 week pre-op diet (I bought them without tasting them beforehand). My surgeon wanted me to continue using them post-op. I refused and told him I wanted a different option. His NUT relented and I used Slim Fast low carb shakes. Thankfully I liked them.
