I'm 9 months out today. Down 208, and going to my consult for my skin surgery. Anyone can do this, it's really easy. God Bless Guys and girls.

Congratulation Gary... !! you did it !!

Congratulations on the weight loss and...sunny outlook...

so glad the journey was so easy for you...  or was it?

In retrospect - it may looks that way...it was relatively fast...

easy?  I am not sure I would use that word... remembering some of your posts from before... your struggles and emotional trips as your body was changing....

good luck.. I really hope from now yon would be nothing but easy for you...

the rest of us - just need to take one day at a time...

We're all going through our own **** for sure Hala. I started going to A.A. 10 years ago. It makes this place look like summer camp for whiners. I finally stopped the more destructive habit of alcohol 8 years ago.

We do it there the same way, one day at a time...at A.A.

I did share more of myself here than was required, and in return have been entertaining for some...for others, not so much. In either case, I really have feelings on either one.

My faith and family have seen me through these and any other storms to face me and mine. You told me a long time ago to just post what I felt, and not to bother myself with others feelings about it. You were right. I will.

It's great to put yourself out there and not worry about others' opinions.

BUT.

The feedback you're getting here is important. Completely blowing it off because you're just "sharing how you feel" and will keep going on your merry way, opinions be damned, could lead to a LOT of trouble down the line.

Good job...I wish I lost 208, course I'd only weigh 32lbs and I would be the size of several of my grandchildren. lol this would be me trying to see over the steering wheel!!!

You ALWAYS make me laugh. That is not easy. Thanks for taking it for what it is. And the laugh.

Congrats Gary! I second what Kathy said about waiting a bit for plastic surgery. I've also heard fat is constantly moving around b4 it finally settles into place. You want to get the best results possible. Pumping iron is good, that way when you get the surgery you'll be nice & tight!

Totally understand wanting to hurry up & get it over with though.

Excellent and congratulations!!!! I did go for my consult way back. Pick a Dr your comfortable with. The first guy I went to was supposed to be really good. After the exam we talked in his office. He said he do mainly cosmetic work and he could definitely get the extra skin cut off but he really could guarantee what it would look like or that it would even look good. Wow, I got the hell out of there and didn't go back.

The next consult was with a Dr who was connected with a bariatric clinic here in Michigan. He guaranteed a great result and even said if I wasn't happy with some aspect of the final result afterwards he would "fix it" at no extra charge. After looking into some of his cases everyone loved his work and bedside manor. I am heading back to this Dr is a couple of months to try to get the process started again and finsih my journey.

Good luck and again, congratulations on your incredible success!!!!   Rich

Thank you Rich. That's exactly what I am doing. I'm using the time to research PS. I have done the same thing in getting a guy connected to my RNY surgeon's office. It was a fact finding mission.

I hope you see your's through successfully as well. It was weird that his secretary stayed in the exam room during examination. She was facing the wall, and looking right at me through a mirror. She was a "bum looker" I am sorry to report.
