New article on the NY Post: Apparently contestants on "The Biggest Loser" were also given drugs to help with the crazy weight loss, which may also play a part in the serious weight rebound.

Wow. That's crazy, and yet-I'm not surprised.
I never watched the show. I didn't like the way the contestants seemed to be treated just in the commercials for the show.
I wonder if any of the former contestants have had WLS. I haven't looked to find out yet. Would be interesting to know.
Edited for bad spelling.

I did read the article and it did site one contestant as returning home and gaining all his weight back. He then had gastric bypass and is now at a normal weight.

I am not surprised. I had always wondered about that.
What DOES surprise me is that anyone actually believes that doing something like this television show will allow them to maintain their weight loss (unless they are independently wealthy and can continue to spend every day the way they do while on the show... but since most people have to go back to jobs and/or families, it isn't possible).
14 years out; 190 pounds lost, 165 pound loss maintained
