Sobriety

Today when I was doing my four mile walk I actually did five and a half this morning since I wasn't going to  make it to my morning meeting. I felt the need to exercise a bit more to clear my head.

I had posted about my alcoholism a few weeks back. I have not been on OH in about a week. I have been traveling and working nights and days so it has been hard for me to read and post.

This morning when I was walking my alarm went off. I have it set two times a day to remind me of my sobriety date. Well today I looked at the date.

I have been sober for two months today. It  has not been easy. But my life is so much better then it was before. My kids want to be around me. I know what I did the night before. I don't have to check my phone to see if I texted someone late the night before.

Learning to love myself and tell myself I am worth it has been a process . Going to meetings have helped me also. There are so many people that want to help.

I just figured I would throw this out here.

Have a great weekend.

I'm glad that you're doing so well. I've never had a problem with alcohol or another drug, just food. But I know firsthand how hard food addiction can be, so I salute you for not only sharing your problem, but facing it head on.
