What are your thoughts on this sauce?

I'm preop (6 days!) and am on 4 shakes + lean protein meal a day. For the protein I'm using chicken thighs normally grilled or done in a crockpot with some bbq sauce.

This last time in crockpot I used some Kentuckyaki sauce I bought from a friends store. I freakin love it! Ive been having a cup or two of broth a day as well (I LOVE drinking warm broth any day, but especially when I'm sick (note: im not sick)), and Ive been adding a spoonful of the juice from the chicken to it and its incredible

Wondering what you guys think of this? I put about a cup into the crockpot for the liquid. It all doesnt get used, so all the calories/sugars/carb etc arent necessarily fully consumed.

I think its ok? Hence why I'm asking :)

Heres a link to it

Seems like decent numbers to me for a condiment.

It looks fine to me, I was told no more than 5 grams of sugar per serving, that's for after surgery anyway.  I wasn't able to eat anything for two weeks before so I don't know about for a pre-op diet.

As long as you're not consuming a lot of it, it looks OK...

Keep this in mind. 16T = 1C. So if you used 1C, then there are potentially 16G of carb/sugar in that crockpot. Now if that was for 2 thighs, then that would be a lot of sugar to consume... but if it's for a bunch of thighs, then not as bad.

So it sounds really good! I love different condiments! And as much as I'm not hungry just yet, I am starting to look forward to the possibilities of pureed foods!

ya for sure. it was 4 or 5 thighs, maybe even 6. even still, it was still all around them. im sure some liquid is absorbed into the meat as it cooks but not nearly 1 cup even total :)

I think it is fine- sometimes I add Worcestershire, a-1 or other things to add flavor to my meat.
