The fancy cupcakes oh my! This post is probably going to sound crazy.

Its a co workers birthday.  There were a plate of 10 fancy amazing cupcakes outside my office this morning on a file cabinet.  I left for lunch and went on a walk hoping they'd all be gone when I got back.

 

There are 2 left.

 

My current self talk:  cupcakes are gross.  cupcakes are for other people.  cupcakes are gross.  cupcakes make me grow.  cupcakes make me unhealthy.  cupcakes are unnecessary.  the new healthy you is worth a hundred thousand cupcakes.

 

I think the cupcakes are talking back though.  Eat me!  I'm blueberry with blueberry whipped cream frosting!  Yummy!

 

Here in front of all of you as witnesses I say with resolve:  I'm walking out of this office at the end of the day without touching the da*n cupcakes even if they do talk to me all day.

Are you in my brain?   HA!  I have those exact same thoughts sometimes!  Good for you for resisting temptation - it is SOOO difficult sometimes, but ABSOLUTELY worth every ounce of effort it takes!   You can do it!

good for you!  I know how hard it is to resist.  My co-worker left for the day and there is a bag of doritos on her shelf calling my name.  They are open already, and she wouldn't know and wouldn't care if I snagged a few, but I am NOT GOING TO HAVE any damn doritos.  

Stay strong, you CAN say no to cupcakes, because they are gross.

I have a confession...I am terrible but I have gone as far as taking one or two of the office treats and throwing it away.  Just so they will go away faster.

Recognizing that cup cakes are gross is correct!!!  I think they smell good, like doughnuts!!  I buy candles of my favorite bakery smells, that is my relief! i love the smells, but the flavor lasts only moments, make me feel really bad later.. and feeling guilty...  You are strong! Stare the cupcakes down.. like an enemy... you can do this!!

Great point!  AND  I DON'T EAT THAT.  They are gone, and I didn't touch them.  That makes me happy :).
