Congratulations for putting this out there and making yourself vulnerable! Not many people are willing to confess and admit to things like this! Now you know since there is a problem, you know what you need to do! :)

Well first thing you should do is tell someone how bad it really is. When you have accountability it get easier. My mother was an alcoholic for 13 years, but finally she was able to stop. Accountability and her faith helped her. But you need to have people in your corner who know what you are going through. ;)

By admitting it, even just here, is a great first step. Now you have to put it out there to someone you trust in real life. Once you can be more open about it, the more real it will be...

Accountability, just as April said will help you so much.

Please get help. If you can't tell someone you love, then please find a meeting to start attending.

If you hide it, you will never get out of the vicious cycle.

My parents do not know. No one does need to know.

If you drank around them they may already know you are and are afraid to say something to you.

You will be okay. Trust me.

AA in your area would be a good place to start.  Depends how bad it is - you may need a medical help to get detox safely.  Talking to a doc may help.

Finding a counselor to help understanding why you feel you need to drink.

There are AA groups in every nook and cranny of the country.  A friend of mine came for an extended visit in my tiny little backwoods town and he managed to find two AA meetings to choose from.  That is the perfect start.  They can help you find other resources if you need them, too.
