I'm generally leery of anything that's supposed to be a "replacement" of things we shouldn't be eating. Too close to old habits, and too easy to sub the regular version.

^^^ What Julie said.  Prior to surgery, I ate pasta probably daily.  It's a huge trigger for me.  I try to stick with foods that do not have emotional or psychological triggers.  Pasta would be considered a slider food and I could probably eat far more than one serving.

The numbers on this stuff do look promising.  You'll have to let us know how it tastes.

ETA:  I get my pasta fix using zucchini run through a Vegetti.  Far fewer calories and delicious.

I totally agree with you Julie. I know somethings are trigger foods.

Have never heard of them, but my nutritionist said it wasn't only about nutrition--avoiding pasta--but the texture is also sometimes rejected by some tummies(sleeves...).

That said, there's also a pasta made from chickpeas, called Banza. It tastes pretty good as long as you don't get grossed out by the smell of it cooking... Afterward, tasted good with a strong sauce, terrible with cheese or light sauces.

(Banza has a slight texture issue for me, was gritty, though that could have been because I overcooked it--stuff cooks super fast.)
