Daizymom, I did very well with my surgery, but about 12 years post op, I started having regain. But, I am working on getting that off as I know my tool is still working. It just gets harder as we get older and farther out. It is one reason why "vets" stress to newly post op patients, change your eating habits, find healthier alternatives and use the honeymoon phase to maximize your weight loss, so you can have long term success. While I do have regain, I still think I was successful, just have a few hiccups later on down the road.
Best of luck to you on your journey! Be sure to stay connected to a support system, either online, in person or both! This place has been my go to for 15 years and it always helps keep me on track!
