Hey yall!
I am new here and have just started considering VSG and I am looking for some support and maybe some friends. I have been overweight my entire life and about 10 years ago I considered gastric bypass but walked away after having a surgery date. I continued to gain and gain. In 2012 I weighed 310 and started HCG, lost 115 lbs really quickly and then gained and lost 40 plus pounds. I am sitting now at about 235-240 which puts me right at 39.9-40 BMI. I work for a hospital and our insurance covers surgery through a in network facility and doc with a few hoops of course. Looking forward to getting to know all of you and thanks for all the great information!

Thanks :) I'm starting to get nervous, which is supposed to be normal... but I don't think it makes it any easier!
I'm so sure something is going to happen and I'll not be able to have my surgery!
I don't like to 'wish' time away, but I really do wish that Monday would just get here already... LOL

Welcome. I had looked into WLS about 8 years ago and ended up going a different route, ultimately gained my lost weight back and here I am. Scheduled for VSG on May 26 :)
This is a great site to get information. Remember though, most of what people will share/provide is opinion. Make sure you do your due diligence with research and determine your own.

Welcome and congratulations on starting the process. I had my RNY a few years ago and lost about 225 pounds and rediscovered
life. Feel free to bounce questions off of us. Most everyone is willing to help and can be a wealth of information no matter how
big or small the subject. If it's an issue to you at the time it's important right.
Good luck jumping through the hoops and I wish you a very happy and successful journey. It will all be definitely worth it I

You are more than welcome and encouraged to post on any of the forums, but I just wanted to be sure you knew that the surgery type forum, did exist.
