I think it was Kat who said she purposely gets protein bars that she does not love and uses them just for protein when she is stuck and cannot get anything else. I like this strategy. I know when I love them, I tend to eat them like candy bars and that gets me into trouble

I used to love Quest bars. The cinnamon roll and the chocolate chunk ( I think that's it ) were my favorites. I'd eat them on the go a few times a week. I once left a cinnamon roll bar in my purse while at a water park. I opened it up and, it was like a soft, warm gooey cinnamon roll. I almost felt guilty eating it.  ( Pre-surgery, cinnamon rolls were a major weakness of mine. )

Cookies and cream had just come out when I stopped eating them. I had half a bar of the cookies and cream one day, and felt like complete crap after. It felt like reactive hypoglycemia, but happened about 15 minutes after I'd ingested the bar. I know now the company switched to corn fiber, which is a no-go for me. Corn and I broke up after surgery.

I had found some other bars with comparable stats, so those were my to-to...until they stopped being sold. They're back on the market now- with more calories, and different ingredients. Oh well. It's not like I really need protein bars at all, but they're awfully convenient.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Number one fav. is Double Chocolate Chunk! I have such a hard time finding it though so I may just break down and order me some LOL

I also enjoy the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, S'mores and Cookies & Cream.  They also make peanut butter cups which aren't bad if you find yourself missing Reeses!!

After being off sugars for over a month they are starting to taste like heaven!! haha!

I must confess I'm not super fond of the Quest Bars as they feel like lead in my pouch. However, if I'm away from home and the choice is a bar or McDonalds, I will eat half a bar.

I will try one warmed up next time I get stuck and see if it helps.

I use the Quest bars because I'm allergic to soy and so far it is the only protein bar brand that doesn't contain soy.
