It does all the usual things a Fitbit does...counts steps, track sleep...things like that. But it also syncs with your phone so I can get texts, email, listen to music, get apps, also does heart rate too. I think I named everything. Basically it's like a mini phone on your wrist. So I can go on a walk or workout and not worry about taking my phone.

What kind of smar****ch do you have? I have an LG G Android watch and previously had a Pebble, but both work on Bluetooth so I need to have my phone nearby.
One other reason that I love mine is that I can talk to it. It's not quite Siri level, but I can say, "OK Google! Send a text, to Mom, call you at 6." And I can do that while I'm driving and not do anything dangerous!
