I seemed to me most comforable on my back with pillows propped up so I was on a bit of an incline.  Also, I felt comfortable only on my right side for some reason.

I spent a lot of time the first week, reclining on the couch and with a pillow at my side to lean on.  I used a heating pad on my belly too.

Ive already been thinking how I'm going to be using mine I'm sure... unfortunately, my dogs are not happy if we're all not in a bed together (wife, me, two dogs) and will bark and try to get out of the bedroom (or if I have one with me in living room, in the bedroom)

That and they get really excited and jump onto your lap... Which is great if its a ****zu... not so great when its a great dane lol

Uuugghh, you'll have to try to plan for those jumping pups.  My 9lb cat jumped on my tummy not long after surgery and he's lucky he's still alive.  I also have a 2 year old that just wanted to climb on me and snuggle.  Thank GOD my husband ran interference for me, he was a lifesaver.

I have 3 cats that are like that too. So far only one accident from one of them. One of them has refused to leave my side since I walked in the door from the hospital. So he's now dr. Monster hahah
