Still waiting on insurance approval and it's killing me!

It's been a week since my Dr's visit and I'm still waiting for insurance to give the OK for surgery.

I've met all the requirements: PMC approval, 6 month supervised diet, psych visit, dietician visit, informational seminar and surgery videos.

I'm just so ready to get my journey started - they said surgery will be another 6 to 8 weeks following insurance approval ugh.

So let's go insurance people! I want to get this PARTY STARTED !!!   

Just call your insurance plan, that is what I did... and I was approved for a week and my DR had not checked.... I wanted to know by 3.26 my 42 birthday and I had no idea... so I called to check the following week and they said I had been approved on 3.25 so it was destiny - one day before my birthday....  GOOD luck!

they also said it would take weeks before I got my date... it took about 2 weeks and 2 days, so you just never know... she called me on the 6th  and I started my diet that weekend...  You never know!

Thank you for telling me to call my insurance ..... the Dr's office hadn't submitted the paperwork yet. 

So I called and left a message with the Dr's office surgery coordinator to give me a call.  

good follow-up.  hope things get on the fast track for you.

also, someone may cancel and you can get in sooner than planned.

Definitely call.  I bet there has been a decision and you just don't know it yet!  

SO glad I called - insurance hasn't received my paperwork yet!  I've got a call into the Surgery Coordinator at the Dr's office.

Go get them!  Make sure they get it in ASAP!

I just had the exact same thing happen. My center told me two weeks ago that I had met all the requirements. I called my insurance co yesterday and found out they hadn't received anything. My wl center hadn't submitted the paperwork. I pushed her to promise she would do it soon, and she called me back later that day to tell me she did. 

So now I wait,,,but I already have my surgery date, so I'm not too worried.
