its only 1pm and am already cranky! This is going to be difficult, but I cannot wait for what's to come! The past 7 months have flown by, and I've gone through so many emotions and second thoughts.  Any advice for the next few weeks/ months ahead of me are welcome!!!

just stay strong and follow your plan. You do not want to come this far to have a cancellation due to not following plan.

You will be just fine!

The first couple of days it helped me to take a nap during the pre-op diet.  May not be a luxury available to you, but if it is, I highly recommend.  Or go to bed early!

I'm going to jump off of my house!!! Nah, just playing.

I would try and think of it as your pre-op. lifestyle, instead of a "diet". You're officially done with dieting. It's now about executing your eating plan. It will be tough at first. It will get easier.

This is the first actual step in changing. Your brain will be pissed, your mind will have to calm your brain during these first steps. You're worth it, or you wouldn't be this far! Now rubber meets the road. Go get em'!

I know many people will agree with me, but my pre-op diet was the hardest part of the whole process for me.  Just keep telling yourself that once you get through this it WILL get better!

I feel the same...I just started optifast today an I'm starving, emotional and feeling drained. Does this get better? I don't know how I will make it 3 weeks. Plus, the shakes taste awful.

I agree... but you get used to it - you have to time out the shakes so you stay just above the starving line... I am scheduled to have my vsg on 4/21 so I am in the CLEAR  phase water & broth & I want jump off the roof... I am jittery, nervous and excited all at once, but I feel the it is the best thing for ME.... GOOD luck!!!

Good luck to you, I start my pre-op tomorrow the 20th, and am very scared because my will power is so bad, I always give in. But, I am going to fight for this opportunity that I have been given.
