you are doing  great.... just keep plugging along...

The road after my WLS humbled me more than anything else..

I am "skinny " now... I get "you don't know how hard is to be fat".. I get "it is easy for you because you had WLS" , or "you can eat anything, look at you.. go ahead , have some dessert.."

most of the time i just smile and nod... or to some that may get it - I try to explain...

I am skinny and I live in skinny people world.. when we watch what we eat all the time, don't really eat a lot at one time or even daily... read all labels...

and every time i see the scale go up a couple of lbs - I limit what and how much I eat... and try to increase my movement...

"it is easy for you they say.... ".. justsmile and keep walking... little do they know..

Thank you Hala. It is great to have someone in my corner that gives heart to heart advice with no sugar on top. Straight, no chaser is how it's best for me anyway.

You're a very smart, real, woman, and it shows.

I believe I was one of those "ass chewers" that called you out.  I'm so proud of how far you've come.  Taking the chip off your shoulder and listening to sound advice is the first step to success.

I see success written all over you, Gary!

Yes you were. Since then, I've come to deeply respect you Rocky. I quote you more than anyone here. And I always take what you, and a few others here write, as gospel of WLS.

Seeing you are proud of what I'm doing means a great deal to me. This is a fight for life. And you taught me that the fight will start again tomorrow.

Well Gary I'd say you have all the hallmarks of a sage 'ol vet in the making.  I hope 5+ years from now you are here doling it out to the newbees, paying it forward because you have so much to share.

Thank you Roxy. It must be my lucky day. All of my favorite people here are telling me nice things.

Gary - sometimes when I've had a tough day, I check in on OH and I am glad to see that you posted - you always give me smile.

Do you still wear your yellow socks?

Sharon, you've been my friend here since my first day. I am sometimes thinking of certain people when I jot these things down to submit. You are one of those people.

Yes I do wear the socks when it's raining. Yes they are my wife's legwarmers. Yes I feel like it's time for a change to shorts and white socks.
