In my personal experience, my hair never grew back the same. I did loose a lot, but It's something I have grown to understand... my diet has changed, my metabolics have changed- therefore my hair has changed. I religiously take my multi vitamins, biotin and zinc, make sure my protein intake is where it needs to be and try not to bind my hair unnecessarily. I also rotate between Wen, Ovation, and Joico ( also don't wash my hair everyday. I refuse to cut my hair, and keep it as long as I possibly can =)
Hair loss is to be expected with WLS, but I thought to myself, I'd rather loose the weight, and do what I could to minimize hairloss
Not sure if you would be eligible for this but talk to your hair dresser and ask for hair extensions. These are not the cheap ones you get at Sally's but expensive but will last for at least a year. It's real hair. You wa**** you swim in it you treat it just like your own hair. It was the best investment decision I've ever made.
