Thanks everyone. I think I tried too much too early.

On my way back to being me.

Respectfully, 1/2  a cup is A LOT for your healing tummy.  I didn't have the VSG, but I will tell you honestly that I only now, at 2 years out, eat 1/2  cup of food at a time (of soft/slider foods/ricotta bake) -- and at 2 to 3 weeks was eating 2 T to 1/4 cup.  Give your tummy a break for a day or two to settle down, then try again with half the portion.

Im 4 weeks out and a 1/2 cup would still be a lot for me.  Thats 4oz and if I'm having soup about 3oz or maybe 4oz if it's thiner and I am eating real slow.  As far as the ricotta bake, I have been eating 3oz tops for a few days.

The cake is a lie, but Starbucks is not.

You are probably pushing your stomach too fast,  I am almost 13 months out and I still couldn't eat half a can of soup in one sitting. What you are likely experiencing is your new 'full' feeling - it isn't a pleasant overstuffed happy feeling like it was before surgery. My full feeling is just what you described - it's an extremely unpleasant sensation, and one that I will go to great lengths to avoid even now that my stomach has healed and 'matured' since surgery.
