I just don't participate in office party stuff, but I'm the office ********o no one cares.  Works perfectly.

Do you do this A-holiness on purpose, just to scare them?   Or so they won't offer you their tainted food?

To be honest, it's my natural personality. I give people one chance to not be annoying and all my coworkers failed that one chance. Therefore they get, The Asshole! Side effects include less but better friends, and less cake.

Sounds like a valid plan, really. Glad it's working for you.

I always keep sliced deli turkey and cheese in the office frig. If someone brings in some sweets, I head straight for my protein. I also stay clear from the office kitchen when there are goodies. Sweets are my weakness.

Good idea! Healthy snacks are a must to have on hand. I have got to shop for a few more things I can keep at work.

I always keep a couple of protein bars and a couple of Sargento's Balanced Breaks on hand, just in case.  If it's something horrible, I just stay completely away.

Today, we're being provided dinner for our 13 hour day.  Unfortunately, it's Pizza, Breadsticks, Salad, Cookies, etc.  When it's time, I'll run in there, grab some salad, grab 2 pieces of pizza, and take the meat and cheese off of the crust on my way out the door, and get away from that temptation ASAP.

I know exactly how you feel. When we have long days at work, the company brings in pizza. No salad, though. Makes it hard to say no to pizza! But if I can do just one slice, I usually feel ok.

Well, I did indulge with one full slice and one small breadstick.  I won't make myself feel guilty though.  Before surgery, I would've finished off a whole pizza and a whole order of bread.
