Shout out for Instant Pot
So I have been making corned beef and cabbage for 20 years on St. Patrick's day and have made it numerous different way. Now it came out good, but as we all know corned beef can be stringy and chewy.
Well I put it in the instant pot along with carrots, cabbage, onions, and potatoes. Never in my life have I had a tender cut with a fork tender corned beef. My husband even said I should make it more than once a year. It took 90 minutes and the recipe did call for 12oz lager and 2 cups of beef broth.
It was amazing.
I think so, but I got the one that has the yogurt option everyone was talking about. At some point I will make my own yogurt, but right now I am having fun cooking everything else.
You can always freeze the extra.
love mine. I made ribs in mine. wonderful..

I got already seasoned pork ribs from Costco... 2 racks... they fit just right rolled up - standing - in the Instant pot. 30 min in the pot + 10 min under a broiler.. soo good..
I used hard cider...and chicken stock. I will try again with less cider - more stock...
