Low Energy/Fatigue?

I'm only 2 weeks post op, but I'm wondering.... how long did it take you to get your energy back?  I feel like a new puppy!  I can do a little bit and then wham!  I'm tired and a limp noodle.  I know it'll take time to get used to eating like 600-800 calories, but I'm impatient.  I wanna feel better.  Any thoughts?

Everyone is different.  But being two weeks out, you are still in the process of recovering and if you are seeing marked improvement daily, that you are able to do a little more each day, then you are on track.   I know it is frustrating, but give your body time to adjust and heal, you did just have major surgery.  I would definitely focus on staying hydrated, getting your protein in and taking your vitamins.  The rest will fall into place.

Hang in there, it does get better!!!!!!

I think it was a good 3 months post-op to get to the point where I wasn't feeling like I'd been hit by a bus and needed to nap every day.

It took me six months to get my energy back. I went back to work after 2 weeks, but I took naps very day and went to bed super early until about the six month mark. I was completely exhausted until then. Hang in there!!

You had major surgery.  You are still healing.  If I remember right it was about 6 weeks until I didn't feel fresh post op and 4 months before I felt normal.

I'm 2 months out and I'm still exhausted come 2 o'clock so I don't have any words of wisdom for you. I'm hoping it tapers off soon so I have some energy to work out after work daily.

I felt that way early on. I was drinking a fair amount of water but I think my electrolytes were out of balance. I added in some Powerade Zero for a few days and it did help some.
