I was hoping she might decide to do it, and looks like she will (VSG). Great job on losing 80 lbs., pre-op, btw (although article says she was experiencing "fainting spells" b/c of it 
). 
I think people will be surprised how good/different she looks afterward, esp. in the face

Who cares what she looks like? Her boyfriend is a convicted child molester. No amount of weight loss will take that stain off her face.

Seriously, that brings up an interesting point .. That poor child is still way too young for any kind of WLS .. So I guess the only thing that can realistically be done for her is to wait until she's old enough and then have it done ..

Good on her for making a health decision like that. Hopefully she can improve her family's diet as well.
If the picture on the article is current, though, I'm skeptical that she's currently a size 16.
