"'Extreme Weight Loss' Contestant Dies at 52"

Wow, I remember watching this dude on T.V.  He looked fantastic after his 180 lb. weight loss.  No mention of what he died of.  So sad to make it through the journey and still have life cut short.

Such sad news these TV shows say how you can exercise like crazy and diet and loose weigh. The weigh loss is so fast it makes a good TV show but not very healthy. The biggest looser show is another bad show I have read reports where most of all contestants gain all their weigh back. I think we are doing it best medically supervised slow weigh loss learning good eating habits

I guess it just goes to show there are no guarantees in life, but 52 is too soon.

For all the ratings, I think that Ext Weight Loss prob gives people the same chance of success with conventional dieting as all the other programs - 3 to 5%.  Just another program hiding this secret for the diet industry.

Entertainment Tonight should be ashamed for adding the part about Rob Kardashian at the end of the article.

I read in another article that the cause of death is believed to be diabetic shock.

This makes me sad and mad!

It's all about what happens when the cameras are turned off.  We all know it's about real life and these shows are not real life.  I wish they would offer to follow these people for at least a year to help them with food/exercise/counseling for at least a year.
