A different kind of NSV

I haven't been on here in a long time. I had RNY in 2011 (lost 150 lbs)and was diagnosed with breast cancer(stage 3a, ER-, PR-, Her2+) in December 2014. I finished Herceptin in January 2016.  It's not fun but it is doable. I didn't gain much weight until my treatment was almost over. Now I have 25 lbs to lose. You may not feel like exercising but keep doing something. And eat healthy. It sucks that you have to go through this so soon after your WLS. I'm sure the doctors will keep an eye on your blood work and your nutritional needs. Pay attention to them.  You can find support for your breast cancer at breastcancer.org. There are threads for women in various stages of treatment.  It helps to read what other women are going through. Just remember that not everyone experiences the same side effects.  Now that I'm cancer free, I'm focusing on getting my weight under control. Good luck with your treatment and keep us updated!
