NSV for me today
on 3/9/16 3:42 pm
My son called me from school today. He called to say he'd made his H.S. Varsity Golf team. He was so happy it happened, he is a freshman and beat out 17 other guys trying for that spot on his team. At his school, (it's first year in existence). Being on the golf team is a big deal for some crazy reason.
The reason this is my NSV you ask? It's not of course. I did put a club in his hand when he was 2. And I did just buy him a brand new set(free delivery for prime members) thank you Amazon. But last summer, Sept 2, to be exact. I first began taking him actually golfing(at an actual course) and while we played, I walked a few miles every time. He would wait patiently for me while I had to rest alot early on. Such a good boy. Straight A student too. I believe in myself because of him. Small victories and such.
So, now I walk 18 holes easy. We talk about everything while we play. He plays every day at a beautiful course in Belfair.(Gold Mountain) for free for the school. I save a ton of money because he now can play there free all year. And he gets fitted for his jacket next week.
What a grand day!
That's wonderful! The ability to keep up with loved ones, in good times and bad, is so precious. Congratulations to your son!
I have a basement but don't dwell in it full time.
Awesome, Gary. Congratulations!

KuDoos to you both - great dad and a great son.
Little did you know that those first few steps you took on the course last summer would lead to this magnificent day for you both.
