So far I have only found one protein bar that I absolutely LOVE! Quest Vanilla Almond Crunch...OH MY, do I love these little bars. It may take me 2 days to eat one but I feel like I am eating raw cookie dough lol. I used to love Clif Bar's white chocolate macadamia nut (well I still do) but after picking up a box in the store today and reading how much sugar is in one bar, I put it right back on the shelf. 42 grams of sugar for one bar is a lot!

What are all your faves?

I don't use protein bars. They are just glorified candy bars.

That's probably a good way to look at them and I don't have them on a daily basis but sometimes I need a little something in between my morning protein drink and lunch so I keep these in my work locker. I can't sit and have a meal in between cause I work on patients and sometimes procedures take longer than others. I found that a 1/4 of a protein bar helps satisfy my until my lunch break.

I often feel like a unicorn because I have NEVER even tasted one, nor a protein shake.  Food glorious food, not frankenfood, for me too

Oh, what did you use for protein in your liquid phase?  No judgement, just curious.  I rarely drink protein shakes, and will only occasionally have a protein bar, mostly as a treat.

1 did liquids for a week, soft foods for a week and then food.   It might surprise people that protein shakes are not necessary, they just make it easier.

My plan was 30g protein by 30 days, 60g by 60 days and 90g by 90 days.

I will be 12 years out in July and have never doctored my food.  I eat as lean and green as I can and I've never had a protein deficiency in any of those 12 years

Have you turned your Quest Bars into cookies yet... the Vanilla Almond Crunch are yummy that way. 1 bar makes 8 cookies (so a little better portion control, I eat 2 "cookies" in a sitting and they are plenty) I push an almond in the center of each: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2015/07/quest -protein-bar-cookies.html

Celebrate Vitamins has some that are protein & calcium (2 new flavors, yummy) crazzberry & lemon

Premier Protein & Fiber Chocolate Mint & Honey Caramel are yummy too. I divide it in 4 or use it crumbled on things Greek yogurt for a little texture.

Oh I love those ideas! I can't believe you can make cookies out of them. I'm not much of a sweets person but it's good to know for when I get a craving for one!! I will have to try the Honey Caramel one you mentioned cause I love caramel, but will pass on the mint since I really dislike it.

Thanks so much!
