Drain tube
It didn't hurt, but it was odd. They tried hard to convince me not to look, but I really wanted to watch. It was like a magician pulling out the endless handkerchief. It's a lot longer than you'd think. Odd feeling. But not what I'd call painful.

I wanted to reiterate what was already said: I definitely did not find it painful, just weird!

My nurse pulled my drain out before I was discharged from the hospital. It was a very odd sensation, but not painful. The tube was so long she almost whacked the medial assistant in the face with it! It was pretty funny to watch, although I sure for the MA, getting splattered with my body fluids would not have been very funny.
I'm having my surgery in a couple weeks from today. What is the drain tube? Where so they put it and where is it draining from?
Sorry, I've never been told of having a drain tube. I'm having mine done in Toronto, so not sure if there's any differences.
