Leaks After WLS

There is an article on the Home Page about "Leaks After WLS".  This is something we all should be educated on as it can happen to any of us.  I wanted to suggest that you educate your family members or anyone that may be in the ER with you and would be speaking for you if you can't. Time is key in a situation like this and most facilities are not going to think to check for this until it could be to late.

I have educated my son to be sure and mention my WLS.  Sadly, I have also told him if they seem clueless on the subject he has to be my advocate for the possible links to what may be going on with me.

If you are several years out and moved like me, I also suggest you connect with a local weight loss surgeon to have that relationship in emergency situations.
