I know it's normal but this sucks!

3 1/2 weeks post op and I haven't lost a pound since last week. In fact, gained one...ugh.  I've read over and over it's normal but man does this suck. I should just be thrilled I've lost close to 30 lbs in just over a month because I know I couldn't have done that prior to the surgery. Well....happy Thursday everyone. It's almost the weekend!!!

I am with you! I am on my 3rd week and haven't lost anything in a week! Yesterday I lost a pound and thought the stall was over, and then this morning it is back. I have only lost 18 pounds since surgery and I feel like I should be doing better. It can be very frustrating. :(

We just need to hang in there, it will pay off in the end...I hope :P

I am in the exact same spot..18 lbs since surgery. But I keep telling myself that there is no way I would have lost 18 lbs in that amount of time on my own so I'm grateful at this point.......and just a little disappointed. We all come on this journey to lose weight and expect it so quickly and as soon as the scale stops moving we panic lol. It most certainly will pay off in the end :)

I'm 6 months post op and I remember posting almost the exact same thing like it was yesterday.  You guys know it's just a stall and the weight will come off, but that doesn't make it any easier.  Hang in there!  We've all been there with you and know how crappy it feels.

I went into a stall one week after surgery and it lasted 3 1/2 weeks. It was frustrating... but in reality, I was doing nothing wrong...my body was just going through changes.

STAY OFF THE SCALE.

You mustn't let that damned machine dictate your life.

Turn it into a plant stand, use it as a target, throw it into a lake.

Just weigh yourself at your doctor's office.

Lol I like the plants stand idea! Unfortunately, the scale and I have been friends for a long long long time. We have a relationship where we see one another almost daily ;)   I know I need to separate myself from it though. Thanks for the pep talk.

See I'm in the other camp. I weigh myself daily. It is part of my accountsbility. That being said you have to learn to not crazy over ever fluctuation and stall. I record only once a week on Wednesdays (my surgery day) and once a month on the 23rd, also my surgery day of the month.

I'm 4 weeks out and same thing here! I'm just so glad to have this site to check in and see everything is normal. I'm down 29 lbs which should make me feel great. I think since I was able to start eating more solid food now it will feel better before I was upset because I couldn't imagine how just eating purée the weight wasn't pouring off. Hope you wake up to a surprise on your scale tomorrow!

No surprise this morning....only down 0.6 lbs but I guess it's better than nothing lol. I should just be happy with my physical changes that I can see and stop reflecting on that number. I realized the other day that I do have a chin and it's been hiding for quite some time
