Has anyone been successful with this?  I'm considering it, as I've been struggling with a 5 lb weight gain.

It's a fad diet, and works about as well as any other.  You'll lose some water weight so you might lose a few pounds quickly.  You'll probably gain them right back as soon as you're done with the fad diet.

Ditto.  Just go back to eating strictly protein and non- starchy veggies.  Limit your fruit intake to one (very small) serving of berries daily, drink at least 64 ounces of fluid, don't drink with your meals and measure your portion sizes. There is no need to suffer with yet another "diet".  Just follow the WLS rules and you will lose the weight.

You could try the 5 day brisket/ribs/sausage/turkey test.  Yummy, delicious all nice protein just remember to measure out the appropriate portions.

Oooooooooh now I want BBQ! Luckily there's a place close enough to hit on my work break, I think today is time for the "pulled pork" test :)

You can also try the 5 day pot roast diet. You eat pot roast every day, as much as you can / want for every meal for 5 days.  Eat till full. But only eat every 2 hours.  In between drink water. At least 2 glasses between every meal.  It works . I know I did it.

You need to eat at least 8 oz of pot roast every 24 hours. So at least 2 oz every meal. 4 meals.

After 5 days you can alternate with chicken or pork.  In 10 days you could lose up to 15-20 lbs... My friend swear by it.  But day 20 you can add a small serving of green veggies.. But only once a day...

There is no limit in first 10 days how much you can eat.. As long as it is the roast or meat only... Fat is ok.

I roast a turkey breast, cut it up, keep it in the refrigerator and have as much turkey and water as I want for five days.  I call it going cold turkey.
