Iron and cramping?

A little over 7 months post op and I've been feeling fine with no issues for a long time now.
My stomach is currently cramping up something fierce, and the only thing I changed today was my iron. I've been taking ferocon (multi with iron) since my surgery, but a very sweet vet on here looked at my labs for me and suggested I up my iron intake. I added a carbonyl iron capsule (50mg plus b12 and zinc) to my ferocon this morning but otherwise didn't change anything. Same breakfast and all.
Can iron cause severe stomach cramping? It's not related to TOM and it's not possible I'm pregnant.
yea... that what happens to me... almost any iron and my gut is twisting..really really bad...

Absolutely, it can cause problems. I would not up your iron unless your Doctor told you to. You need to be very careful to not get to much iron as well.
