I seem to be getting so tired around 1 every day. I have been taking Vitamin B 12 and a multivitamin that has vitamin B since my surgery. My question is, does anyone take it more than one dose a day? I don't know if that would help but I figured it was worth a shot to ask what others are doing.

Have you had a check-up and labs done recently? I'd get a set of labs done. Be sure it's a bariatric panel with iron, ferritin, B12... general labs don't include all we need to check for. Maybe chart your food/liquids too and see if there is a pattern... maybe a blood sugar crash thing... something you are eating/drinking for lunch each day (carby?) Drinking plenty of water? Sleep patterns? New stressors? Dr. will probably ask all those. 

I do a sublingual every day and a multi. I also get a B12 shot once a month.

I am only 2 1/2 weeks post op so I haven't had labs done and definitely no carbs....just been eating protein. The water thing has been hard to do when I am at work because if I am stuck in a room with a patient for 2-3 hours I can't get up to get a drink. Sleep good...sure lol, stressors...yup - in the process of buying a house. I don't know if it's because I am just newly sleeved and things are going to be just a little "off" anyways

Ahhh 2 1/2 weeks... it's pretty normal to feel like poo for awhile ;) body is adjusting to a lack of fuel it's been accustomed to. It works itself out after a few weeks... about month 4 post WLS I felt like I could climb a mountain twice suddenly. 

Get tha****er in though... lack of water believe it or not is one of 2 issues that tossed people back in the ER post-op.

You're only a couple of weeks out of surgery. Most people are still low on energy at that point. You can check labs, but it does take a while to be 100% back to normal.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.

I figured that would probably be the culprit, I just didn't know if I was allowed to take more B-12 or not. I guess that's a question to as my nutritionist at the surgery center.

It's funny you mention that- I'm 7 weeks this week and I seem to get into a funk about 2-4 everyday. Early out we would be out on the town during this time and I would get really tired and have to buy or bring a shake with me to drink.

I take 3 multi's a day and b-12 about every 2 days.

I'm also on a prescription vit D and also take the calcium 2 times a day.

See I have no idea what vitamins I really should be taking. The doctor gave a long list of them but then the nutritionist said we shouldn't take vitamins for certain things unless we become deficient. But how do I know I am until I have blood work??? lol. I went over the ones I was taking on my last post op and was told that was good. It's really honestly confusing what they want sometimes. I know everyone's body is different and bariatric surgeries you need vitamins. I guess I should just take all the recommended and have them adjust if needed what I am taking once I have lab work done in 6 months

I think if you are not taking at least the basic vitamins and dosages you could potentially get sick with deficient.

Right now it's a multi vitamin, B-12 and a probiotic. I'm scared to take Biotin after reading on here people saying it makes you grow hair in unwanted places. I'm Italian and hairy enough, hahahaha.
