So this week i have been eating my target of 85-to 110 of protein. I have not been able to sleep well and having headaches. Anyone ever experience this?

I highly doubt these two things are really connected. Have you also DECREASED how many carbs you're eating? Carb withdrawal can cause some fierce headaches.

I don't think there is any correlation between protein intake and headaches/sleep. That being said if you just made a change in your diet  to get back to basics... the  caffeine or sugar withdrawal could be upsetting things.

Oh yeah. But the good thing is that it does go away soon.

Whenever I increase my protein I also have to increase my water intake as well.  If I don't do this I end up with headaches, constipation, and restless sleeps.  I'm assuming it's because my body needs the extra water to process the protein, otherwise it starts to bog down the system.  Right now my protein is at 95g and water is a minimum of 100g.

Makes sense...I have increased my water intake the last 6 days. how many shakes do you drink? And do you drink water after the shake or do you wait 40 min after?

I'm still pre-op, but I usually have 1 shake a day and the rest of my protein comes from food and bars.  I've never really been one to drink within an hour after my meals, however I do need a little water after a protein shake just to get rid of the milky aftertaste :)

can you tell me what exactly you eat to get 95 gm of protein, I need this much and have dairy allergies. If I could have the shakes, it would make things so much easier. Next week will be 1 yr anniv. and I have not gotten to goal.
