Hi friends! I am obese and my BMI ratio is 26. I am considering a liposuction in Toronto and booked an appointment with Dr. Sammy Sliwin. I am quite nervous about this surgery How much fat can be removed by this surgery? Is age a determining factor in this surgery? I am 53. Is there any chances of regaining fat after some years? All suggestions and experiences are welcome!

The body tends to store fat differently with age.  However you should still retain the improved shape of the liposuction even if you gain weight and become larger the overall shape will usually stay the same.

The doctor will tell you how much he intends to remove but about four pounds per session is common.  You may have more than one session.  The fat cells that are removed are permanently gone.  You can grow new fat cells if you gain weight.
