Denied surgery for a BMI of 34.9 with comorbidities

It's definitely worth the appeal - especially if you can request a peer-to-peer with your surgeon and your cardiologist to speak on your behalf with the insurance company.

I would schedule another appt on the day before your menstrual cycle starts (typically the day we hold the mos****er weight) and eat salty foods the day before, and don't wear lightweight clothes. You'll probably be several pounds higher than normal.

Hi I'm new to the forum although I have been reviewing everything written for months now. Just want to say thank you for all the support this group offers. I have just been denied and I'm appealing it because my current BMI is 32.3 with all the co-morbidities listed. High BP, diabetic, sleep apnea, and AFIB, anyone have any suggestions as to how to deal with insurance at this time? Very disappointed, my surgery date was set for May 9 and of course that has been cancelled now. Is this because I followed everything from the start when I had a BMI of 35.9?
