Paying for surgery

You insurance  ( aetna  )  covers 90% of my surgery but the last 10% is that due in full or can I just pay it off? 

It varies. Some will. Some require payment before surgery, or they won't do it. The only way to find out is to ask.

It depends on the surgeon. I've had other surgeries where I was billed after the fact and made payments. 

I was able to make payments.  It depends on the hospital and the surgeon.

I'm making payments.  

You have three entities that are going to be billing your insurance and whom you will have to pay 10% of covered charges to. 

• Bariatric Surgeon
• Anesthesiologist
• Hospital. 

Your surgeon may require his 10% up front before the surgery is done, but the hospital and anesthesiologist can be paid after the procedure and you can make payment arrangements.
